Pair of Small Lake Michigan Rocks, Wrapped in Parchment

80.00

The Great Lakes roll and tumble freighters, sailors and rocks. Around here Lake Michigan tosses perfectly smooth ovoid rocks on to the shore. Some come home in my pockets. I have no explanation for why they receive this treatment, some engraved, all tightly wrapped in goat or calf parchment (made by my friends at Pergamena in upstate New York), except to say I just like the way they feel.

Sometimes these rocks want to be a couple, unseparated. This pair of small wrapped rocks measure 2.25” by 2.25”, and 2” by 1.75”.

Though they come from the lake, please keep rocks dry, and out of reach of the dog, too.
