These felt pouches kicked off after I found a vintage Amana Weavers wool blanket at my favorite thrift shop, Artifacts in Iowa City, Iowa. From there, I got a coffee, then walked across the parking lot to the laundromat and washed the hell out of that blanket until it became densely felted. It seemed like a good idea to make that material into pouches, but the wool is so thick it is hard to sew. So naturally when I’d used up that original blanket, I had to track down some more of these blankets and keep making them and jamming up my machine with lint. Because some people just won’t learn. These are thick and sturdy, unlined felted wool pouches with imperfect, un-beautiful stitching.

These larger pouches measure around 12” by about 6.5”. They have mustard-colored zippers with dark purple leather zipper pulls.
