I really liked the look of these vintage letterpress-printed advertising cards that are also scissor sharpeners. Then I tried one on my shop snips, it did a great job of touching them up! Simply push your small scissor blades through and across the the steel wire while keeping a little resistance as you push, as illustrated on the front of the card, to bring your snips back to peak snipping sharpness!
